Service of the Word Rev. Jose A. Malayang (Pastor Bill's adopted father) gave the sermon: The Voice of God is Calling. Joe is a recently retired UCC minister after 46 continuous years in ordained Christian Ministry, in the Philippines and in the US.

Guest ministers speak to Pastor Bill Rev. C. Diane Smith leads off - she is an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She serves as Chaplain of Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor, Mighican.

Rev. Ilai Tupualo speaks to Pastor Bill Rev. Tupualo is from the First Samoan Congregational Christian Church UCC in Phoenix, AZ.

Leis are brought forward by members of the First Samoan Congregation Christian Church and placed over the head of Pastor Bill. The tradition is related to the one on Hawaii, when they lei new arrivals with flowers.

Tear-filled Response of Pastor Bill His joy and thankfulness can not be contained!

Charge to the Congregation is given by Rev. Dr. Stephen J. Miller who is an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He served as Interim Pastor of Church of the Good Shepherd UCC prior to its previous pastorate. It was Steve who first recommended Bill consider serving COGS ten years ago.

Serving the Luncheon John Davis, COGS member oversees the Project Share meals that COGS prepares and serves to the homeless; in this case, he is serving the same meal to the guests at the Installation Service.
