KIRK’S LOG

Stardate: November 11, 2007

Focus Scripture    Psalm 145:1-5, 17-21

I will extol you, my God and Ruler, and bless your name for ever and ever.
Every day I will bless you, and praise your name for ever and ever.
Great is God, and greatly to be praised; God's greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall laud your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.
On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.
In every way God is just, and kind in every action.
God is near to all who call, to all who call on God in truth.
God fulfills the desire of all who fear God; God also hears their cry, and saves them.
God watches over all who love God, but will destroy the wicked.
My mouth will speak the praise of God, and all flesh will bless God's holy name for ever and ever.

next Sunday, November 18,
is an especially meaningful time to do so.

Tree sales begin TODAY

The theme for Advent 2007 is “A Natural Christmas”.

·     Our trees in the Sanctuary will be live tress that will be planted together as a grove in some “open space” in Albuquerque.  The city has been every cooperative and helpful in our planning.

·     The trees will be high quality, with guarantees making our investment solid.  Our little grove of trees will have a plaque stating COGS as the donor, along with our Preschool.

·     The good news is that no one has to buy a whole tree:  You can purchase a twig, a branch, a log, a trunk, or a tree.

·     You can dedicate your gift in honor of or in memory of someone.  The list of donors and honorees will be printed, as always, Christmas Eve.

·     Please see the tear-off sheet below to purchase your twig, branch, log, trunk, or tree, and to dedicate your purchase.
