Focus Scripture    Matthew 4:12-23

Now having heard that John had been arrested, Jesus withdrew into Galilee; and leaving Nazareth,

Jesus went and dwelt in Capernaum by the sea, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali, that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,

toward the sea, across the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles – the people who sat in deep gloom have seen a great light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death, light has dawned.” From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the realm of heaven is at hand.” Then walking by the Sea of Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishers.  And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers

of women and men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him.  And going on from there Jesus saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and Jesus called them. Immediately they left the boat and their father,

and followed Jesus. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the realm of God, and healing every disease and every infirmity among the people.

COGS Website Administrator has changed hands – Jack Ryniec, who developed the COGS website, has passed the daily administration of the website over to Lanie Dickel who had already been updating the "News/Events" section weekly with the links to the Staff and Kirk's Logs.  She has also been posting photos of recent events such as the extended series of photos from "A Natural Christmas".  The latter will be archived at the beginning of Lent and only a few sample photos will remain on the active website.  If you look at the bottom right corner of the home page, you will see the date and topic of the most recent posting of photos.  If you click on the "New Photos Posted" link, it will take you to the Events photos.  For example, photos of the COGS Wolf Creek ski trip were posted on January 21, 2008.  If you have photos of a COGS event (e.g. "Dinners for Ten"), let Lanie know.  The Justice Team has a web page, which is regularly updated; it is linked from the "Programs" page.  If other church Teams wish to create a web page, please contact Lanie Dickel.
