Focus Scripture    John 21:15-17

When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,

"Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him,

"Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my lambs."

A second time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?"

He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Tend my sheep."

He said to him the third time, "Simon son of John, do you love me?"

Peter felt hurt because he said to him the third time, "Do you love me?" And he said to him,

"Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep."

COGS Meets LLSSince so many of our COGS members and their families have been touched by blood cancers, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) will do a presentation for us about their patient services and ways we could help the fight against blood cancers.  Also, this is an opportunity for you to sign up to join the Light The Night Team.  The presentation will be after the second service on August 24th.  If you're unable to come, but would like to find out more about what LLS offers, please call their office at 872-0141.
