COGS Preschool and Mother's Day Out
are part of the Children's Outreach Programs of the Church of the Good Shepherd.

We regard each child as a unique creature of God. In our programs, we provide learning experiences within a nonsectarian Christian setting. We welcome families of all faiths. We are committed to providing a developmentally-appropriate, loving, and caring learning environment for a diverse population of young children.

Each child is recognized as an individual. The program is designed to provide a safe and secure environment for children to play, create, explore, discover, and socialize. Play as the child's work is his/her way of learning about his/her world.

A team teaching approach ensures committed, comprehensive care for each child; to link the child with the environment prepared for his/her skills and maximize each child's potential socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.


Classes are composed of age related groupings of children:

Preschool
  • 3 year olds     Tu Th     9 am - noon
  • 4 year olds     M W F   9 am - noon
  • Add on options
    • Lunch club         noon - 1 pm
    • Extended day     noon - 3 pm
Mother's Day Out
  • Age groupings
    • Nursery for 12 mos - 24 mos
    • Over 2 years old
  • Available times
    • M through F       9 am - noon
  • Add on options
    • Lunch club         noon - 1 pm
    • Extended day     noon - 3 pm

Parents contract for specific days and times but occasional added drop-in is possible with prior request and depending on available space.
